Please read the attached letter from the Cambridgeshire County Council about the Government’s funding for local Authorities for the Covid Winter Grant scheme. This letter, and the accompanying FAQs, highlight vital information for families in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM) as well as those who may be experiencing financial and other difficulties. The Scheme which will be overseen by the LA will provide FSM families with food vouchers directly and may be able to provide additional support for those who apply to the Grant scheme. To ensure that the Local Authority can access the correct details for you from our systems please check your MCaS and ensure we have the correct contact details for you.
Mrs Cowburn would like you to join in with this ‘whole school’ art competition.

Mrs Wild is relocating therefore is sadly leaving Swavesey. She has recorded a video to say goodbye and kindly gifted some new watering cans to Mrs Norden's gardening club. We will really miss Mrs Wild but wish her and her family lots of happiness with their new adventure.

‘My parents loved it. My Dad gave me a big high-five!’ Chloe-Marie
‘I think the production was the best thing in the world.’ Ted
‘I was shy when I went on the stage . I worried about messing up my lines but it went well in the end.’ Toby
A huge congratulations to the Year 5/6 English Challenge team, who came fourth out of 100 teams at the Ely Cathedral English Challenge, scoring a huge 136 out of 150!

Tuesday saw the start of the High 5s Netball Competition for 2019/20. Swavesey ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams took part in Round 1 at SVC. Swavesey ‘A’ played 4 matches and WON them ALL! Swavesey ‘B’ played 3 matches and WON them ALL too! For such an early round in the competition, both teams played outstandingly well. The next round is in March, so lots to work on before then but a great start! Thank you Parents / Carers for your great support on the night :)
