Year 4's enjoy the first inter-school 'SCSSP' event of 2025/26 with the 'Team Challenge' Event

Lots of smiles, team work and determination, competing in five different challenges, throughout the afternoon.
The very first South Cambridgeshire School Sports Partnership (SCSSP) inter-school event of 2025/26 took place on Thursday 2nd October, with thirteen Year 4 in attendance.
The event welcomed 160 children from 16 different schools to the event. The children tested their teamwork and determination skills, competing in 5 different challenges. 48 Sports Leaders from Comberton VC supported the event and helped encourage the teams during the challenges.
Swavesey children had a great time. This is what they had to say about the afternoon...

Sadie: It was really fun and exciting.
Saro: I was good at using my memory.
Byron: I felt nervous before I went but felt great after!
Grayson: It was really fun doing the 'battleships game' because you had to have determination.
Olivia H: 'Scavenger Hunt' was my favourite because we worked as a team.
Maahadh: I learnt that you can't give up and need to keep trying.
Jake: My favourite game was 'battleships' because you had to use your memory.
Jack B: I loved working as a team.
Thomas: I felt excited and nervous before, but now I want to do it again!
Georgie: I liked 'bingo' because you had to find lots of different things.
Alman: I learnt that working in a team is better than being on your own, because there are more people to help you.
Betsy: I think I am very good at working in a team and liked helping my teammates.
