Coding Week!

Coding Week at Swavesey Primary!
This week the children have been focusing upon coding to celebrate National Coding Week across the country! They may have participated in exciting sessions focused upon Micro:bit devices, explored coding within Purple Mash on 2Code walkthroughs or explored a range of themes including sequencing and debugging. With a combined approach focused upon discussion and hands-on exploration, children will have had the opportunity to develop their understanding and practise their skills!
Here are some quotes for the children about their experiences during Coding Week:
‘’My favourite Micro:bit program was the teleporting duck because it was so interesting!’’ – Nosa, Year 6
‘’A Micro:bit can be used to track your steps or as a compass! You can program it to do lots of different things!’’ – Amy, Year 6
‘’At the start the coding was quite difficult, but the more I got used to it, the easier it became! – Florence, Year 5
