150 'golden' miles in a school year earns a 'Diamond' certificate and medal for Year 6 Moses and Jesse.

A year of intense running at every golden mile club session results in 150.74 miles in a school year, even with lots of cancelled sessions during the wet weather... AMAZING achievement.
Golden Mile club finished on Friday for this school year, after a bonus of two extra sessions this week! This gave two Year 6 boys the chance to add some more miles to their target of 150 miles. Thankfully, they did it, just, with 150.74 miles.
During the year, the weather has been against the club, causing it to be cancelled. I know the original target for the two runners was to try and get 200 miles +, to earn not just a medal but a trophy too. The fact they managed what they did is outstanding and down to the regular 3–4 miles a session they regularly ticked off! There were two Year 4s hot on their heels, who I'm sure will reach this distance at some point too.
This year has been a high mileage year for all classes and there will be some final certificates given out in class during the final week.
The FINAL WHOLE SCHOOL TOTAL is 7969 miles, with Owls, Badgers and Squirrels class retaining the trophy for this term.
Well done to all the children, great effort. Many thanks to Mrs Maloney for supervising the club every week. Golden Mile club will return in mid-September...
