Updates from Mrs Norden

You will be able to see from the new news articles below that bicycles have been a common theme this term, and especially the first week after half term. There have also been other key events for different age groups, including the Yr6 residential, Yr6 cricket tournament, Yr1 national phonics check and the Yr4 national multiplication tables check.  School has therefore continued to be a hive of activity, in and out of the classroom, since half term.

As you will see from the articles already on the website (links below), and those which will come over the next few weeks, our children have represented themselves and school incredibly well.  We are very proud of them for all their efforts and hard work, their resilience and resourcefulness, as well as their care and support of each other.  Well done to all.

We are really pleased to have some new midday supervisors, and we welcome Mrs Canham, Mrs Fotso and Mrs Norris-Barton to our team. We hope they will enjoy their time with us at Swavesey.

I hope you have the summer fair date in your diary (27th June) and thank you to those who have sent in donations for the summer fair. We still need more donations, so please see the details below for items needed and where to drop them off.

The next few weeks are already looking very busy with Swavesey's Got Talent heats, the PTA Summer Fair, School Games Day, Phase trips, the Yr5/6 production and more. Please keep checking our weekly newsletter/admin update for information and updates on these.  If you miss something, please come back to the website's 'Newsletter and Letters home' page to reread/check in with this information before asking our admin staff as this is one of their busiest periods of the year.

Could you foster?

At Nexus Fostering based in Lolworth, we’re looking for local people like you to become foster carers. By providing a loving and stable home environment, you can support the increasing number of children and young people in the local area who cannot live in their family homes. Not all children require long-term care. We also need foster carers for short-term placements, respite care, and to provide temporary homes to support young parents and their babies. So, if you have a spare room and are ready to change lives, please give us a call on 01223 903 503 or email Leanne on leannea@nexusfostering.co.uk.
