Updates from Mrs Norden

Another busy week has flown by thankfully with the support of the Internet, although a power cut on Monday morning did have us on tenterhooks for a while.

The children should have brought their annual reports home with them today, unless permission had not been granted for this.  However, we have several children absent and so their reports will be available for collection from the office.

Please can I remind everyone that we are a nut free site due to having children and staff with nut allergies.  This week we have had a couple of instances where snacks or lunches have contained nuts, and we want to keep everyone safe.  I also want to let you know that having had a spate of chicken pox cases earlier in the year in our younger years, we have had a KS2 case this week, so please look out for signs even if your children have had it before. It is important for children not to be in school until the spots have crusted over.

With only two weeks left of term there are many activities and events still to come and so the summer term update box has lots of new information for you.  We are looking forward to the Year 5/6 play next week and I, for one, can't wait to find out why my days recently have been filled with the sound of Viking war cries as background noise while working in my office.

You will also find several new news articles for events/activities which have happened across the last few weeks, so please click into these below to read all about the children's ventures.

PTA News -

Fundraising Friday 14th July

Non Uniform Day - The Eco committee are asking us to dress up in 'Green' to raise money so they can apply for the Eco Green Flag award they have been busy working towards.  The children don't need to be dressed head to foot in green but could have an item of green clothing, a green accessory, be wearing a recycled or reused item or wear something which shows they are thinking of the environment.

The Eco committee need to reach a total of £200 +VAT for the application and so we are asking for a donation of at least £1 to support this cause and hopefully this will help them achieve their goal.

End of Year Discos - (also Friday 14th July)

Key Stage 1  (Reception, year 1 & Year 2) will take place between 4pm and 5pm.

Key Stage 2 (Year 3-6) will take place between 6.15pm and 6.15pm.
