Updates from Mrs Norden

We are extremely proud of our 5/6 netballers, who were runners-up in the South Cambs SCSSP final yesterday.  This means they will be going through to the County event later this term. Their determination and team work shone through, and their achievement was very much deserved.  Well done.

Please see the section below for finalised details for our coronation celebrations next Friday afternoon (5th May) and please ensure you have completed the form (accessed below) if you plan to join us to support our organisation.

We hope you have an enjoyable extended weekend, and that the weather is not as wet as the forecast would indicate.

Summer Term Updates

5th May Coronation Celebration Afternoon Information (reminder and update)

Join us (Primary and Preschool children and staff) at 12.15pm for a picnic on the school field, followed by some team games/activities at approximately 1pm.  The timings for the afternoon will be fairly fluid and driven by how long it actually takes us to organise movement/activities around the site in such large groups.

For children who have school dinners the kitchen will provide a school packed lunch for the picnic - there will be no hot choices on the day. PLEASE ENSURE YOU PRE_BOOK THIS.  All adults, and those who have home packed lunch, need to bring their food with them.  We will all be eating on the field, and you will be sat with your children.

To support our organisation for the afternoon please complete the short form which can be accessed by clicking here.

Dressing up - Please ensure clothing is suitable for playtime and activities outside, especially footwear.

Primary children should come in non-uniform with a colour theme of their house colour (PE tops are ideal).

Preschool children should come dressed on a red, white and blue theme. If your child does not attend preschool on a Friday you can come along to the event (please indicate this on the form accessed above), leaving at the same point that the other preschoolers do - please arrive at 12.15pm to go straight out to the field.

If you should need to bring much younger siblings with you this is possible to accommodate, but it is essential they are supervised by you at all times.

Access to the school premises at 12.15pm will be via the front gate only to support safeguarding, as will the exit for preschoolers.  However, exit will be via both gates at the end of the afternoon's activities for primary children and families.

Unfortunately, if the weather is inclement we will use the hall for the phases to take part in the planned games, but we will not be able to host external adults due to a lack of space.  If we have to cancel our picnic and outside plans we will make the decision on the morning of 5th and email you to let you know by 11am.
