Updates from Mrs Norden

Anthony Browne, our local MP, visited school yesterday during which we discussed various topics with funding being a main focus.  We toured the school to see it in action, during which he particularly commented on the wonderful artwork on display, our library and the children's calmness and positive behaviour.  Mr Browne was very attentive, listening to our concerns and asking lots of questions to really understand our school.  He has agreed to take away a few actions in support, and we look forward to positive outcomes from these. You can read his facebook message about his visit here.

We would like to say a huge thank you for all the fundraising you have supported us with in the last few weeks.  The funds you have raised will not only support our children but also children who are in local hospitals receiving long term treatments.

Your generosity has raised:

                      Smarties challenge raised £629.68.

                      Readathon sponsorship raised £1,819

The Readathon has raised an incredible amount, and any outstanding sponsorship can still be added.  Don't forget to send in the orange form for Mrs Sprawson, so we can also ensure the gift aid is claimed.

Friday 17th is Red Nose Day, and we will be encouraging the children to dress in red and bring a red nose to school to support the event.  As we have already undertaken lots of fundraising recently we felt that to ask for donations for a non-uniform day again so soon would not be supportive of our families.  However, if you wish to donate directly to Comic Relief you can do so online by clicking here.
