Updates from Mrs Norden

Another busy week has passed with children competing at the SCSSP cross-country at Wimpole and our Christmas production dress rehearsal.  As you will have seen from the email on Wednesday, December brings many exciting events and opportunities. If you missed the 'Helpful list' in the email, please click here to access it for dates, times and detailed information for organisation.

We will be holding our annual Carol concert next Friday, as per our diary dates.  This will again be in our playground as the church are unable to host us due to numbers.  If you would like to join us please can I ask you to complete the short form which can be accessed here to support our organisation.  As always we will be finishing the concert by singing 'We wish you a Merry Christmas' and in school we have been practising the song with the Makaton signs to support our children who use Makaton to communicate.  We hope if you will be joining us for our concert that you will practise too.  Please click here to see a Youtube video of the song with signing.

Autumn Term Administrative and Information Updates

Absences - please ensure you email or leave a voice message on our answer phone to notify us daily of children's absences.  If a child is absent and we have not had confirmation by the start of the school day we have to follow attendance protocols and follow this up by contacting you for confirmation. Should we be unable to verify why a child is absent this could lead to us a making safeguarding referral as per guidance laid down for us.  Should a child and family be in serious need of support i.e. they are missing then the more people we have to ring to clarify absences the more likely help is to be delayed.

Guitar lessons - Mr Cory, may now have some available slots. If your child is interested in learning the guitar, please contact Mr Cory via email at jimmypagefans@hotmail.com. Please include:- pupils name, parent/guardian name, school name, class teachers name for 22/23 term, lesson duration requirements (15mins (£8.75) or 30mins (£17.50)) home address & mobile phone number. Please book early to avoid disappointment. Please note if you have already been added to my waiting list, you will be the first to be offered any spaces that become available, and that lessons are only suitable for children aged 7 and above
