School Games day - Monday 27th June

KS2 : The morning session will begin at 9.30am - gates will open at 9.25am (front and rear) for parents to come and join us on the field - and should be finished by 11.45am.

Reception/KS1: The afternoon session will begin at 1.30pm - gates will open at 1.25 pm (front and rear) for parents to come and join us on the field - and should be finished by 3.15pm.

Timings for Preschool joining the afternoon session will be confirmed as soon as possible but will be approximately at 2.45pm.

Children will need to attend school in their PE kit (house colour top is important - yellow house see below) and ensure they have a filled water bottle and sun hat with them.

The PTA will be running a drinks stall for parents and carers through both sessions.

The children will rotate around a variety of activities through the session in house groups and you will be able to follow these groups and cheer them on.  We ask you to make sure that you consider keeping appropriate distances and to ensure that you stand back of the active zones.  Each session will end with some individual running races on the running track.  At this point we will ask you to stay behind the red barriers to ensure that the running lanes are kept free to maintain safety and support staff in carrying out their tasks.  Please do not congregate at the end of the running track as the children need the 'run off space'.

Yellow PE T-Shirts  -  Children in yellow house can come in another colour top for the rest of term to help the bugs stay away.  We will make sure you can still identify them on school games day as being in yellow house.

Lost property - If items are named we do return them, but if they are not this is very difficult to do, and many children do not seem to notice if they are missing items.  We have been putting the lost property out in the back playground and will do so next week for claiming.  Any items unclaimed will be given to the PTA to be sold on their second hand uniform stall at the fête.

We are thrilled that our Summer Fete can take place this year on Saturday 2nd July 1 - 4pm. We need your help to make it a success - please see the attached poster for details. If you are able to helping set up / during / after the fete – please email pta@swavesey.cambs.sch.uk

If you would like a stall at the summer fete, please complete the booking form and return to pta@swavesey.cambs.sch.uk.
