Updates from Mrs Norden

It has been a busy few days for the whole school and I would like to thank all our families for their support during our Ofsted inspection, especially in completing the parent survey and for your kind wishes.  I also want to say a huge thank you, and well done, to all our children, staff and governors for all their hard work in all they do, but especially over the last few days.

The inspection was a robust, supportive and fair process, and we were grateful to the inspecting team for their positive engagement.  A final report will hopefully be published before the end of term detailing their findings against the Ofsted objectives, and as soon as we have this we will send it out to you.

Our remembrance poppy selling has been rather remiss over the last few days, but poppies and other items will be made available to the children during the day tomorrow if they bring their donations, and they will be in the hall during our fireworks evening for all.

Tomorrow is our annual PTA Fireworks event, and we are truly grateful to JLB Electrical, Entire, Anjo Wellness and a couple of other kind donors for their contributions which have supported this event.  We hope you will be able to join us for this fun evening, and you can find details on the poster below. Please note the event is cash only.

As you will hopefully be aware, we will also be opening classrooms for parents and carers to share in their children's work with them before the fireworks. The front gate will be opened at 4.30pm (this is a slight change from previous information), and we ask you to enter (and leave) school through the main front door to access the classrooms.  We will be closing the classrooms at 5.20pm to allow staff to get ready to help with the PTA event. Families will be able to wait in the front playground before going round to the rear playground from 5.30pm to join in the fun.

Mrs Sprawson has a reminder below for our author visit and book signing on Monday (11th) and she has also organised our annual autumn book fair to be here very soon, so please click here for further details about this.

Below are our usual updates and new news articles.  The next few weeks have lots of activities and events, so please keep yourself updated through the regular diary dates in weekly information.

Could you foster?

At Nexus Fostering based in Lolworth, we’re looking for local people like you to become foster carers. By providing a loving and stable home environment, you can support the increasing number of children and young people in the local area who cannot live in their family homes. Not all children require long-term care. We also need foster carers for short-term placements, respite care, and to provide temporary homes to support young parents and their babies. So, if you have a spare room and are ready to change lives, please give us a call on 01223 903 503 or email Leanne on leannea@nexusfostering.co.uk.
