Updates from Mrs Norden

The last two weeks have been busy with lots of activities, including the Year 6 residential and Year 3/4 Ancient Greek experience day.  There are lots of new news articles sharing details, which we hope you enjoy reading (links below).

June will continue to be busy with various events, including Year 1/2's trip to Shepreth tomorrow, our PTA fete on Friday (21st), School Games Day Monday (24th) and Swavesey's Got Talent final on 28th.

Please see the PTA section below for requests and information about the fete.  We are looking forward to the event and hope you will all be able to join us.  We will go ahead should the rain try to stop play with a wet weather plan.

If you missed the link in the newsletter email for our parent and carer survey, then you can find this in a section below.  This survey is designed to gather your views to support continuous development of our provision, and we hope you are able to take a few minutes to support us by completing it.

As always, our newsletters strive to keep up to date with information and will be a valuable source for updates during the busy few weeks to come.

I am sure many of you will be watching England's first Euro game tonight, but we hope the children will manage a good night's sleep to be ready for school tomorrow.

Parent/Carer Survey -

In continuing to develop our provision, we would like to seek your views on aspects of school organisation, development and specifically the work we have begun on the cultural opportunities we provide our children. This includes views on systems we introduced, or changed, due to the impact of Covid-19, to support ongoing decision-making.

One section relates to work we have begun through the school council with our children, and also with the school staff and governors, on considering the cultural opportunities we offer our children to develop their understanding, knowledge and skills in many diverse aspects of life.

Hopefully, the survey will not take too long to complete, and the questions are self-explanatory.  Please use the link below to access the survey:

Could you foster?

At Nexus Fostering based in Lolworth, we’re looking for local people like you to become foster carers. By providing a loving and stable home environment, you can support the increasing number of children and young people in the local area who cannot live in their family homes. Not all children require long-term care. We also need foster carers for short-term placements, respite care, and to provide temporary homes to support young parents and their babies. So, if you have a spare room and are ready to change lives, please give us a call on 01223 903 503 or email Leanne on leannea@nexusfostering.co.uk.
