This week's 'sporting assembly' was a time to celebrate, as a school, the outstanding achievements of Year 4 Ethan. His family kindly sent me the following report about his summer successes...

Over the summer, Ethan flew to Chicago, USA, to represent Team GB at the World Tang Soo Do World Championships. Competing in an arena of over 1800 of the top competitors from around the globe.

Ethan performed magnificently and came home as a Double World Champion, winning Gold in both Open Hand Forms and Weapons Forms! 🥋🥇🥇

Ethan showed the real Tang Soo Do spirit, cheering on his fellow GB competitors who brought home over 150 medals, including 5 Grand Champions! 

​Currently, a Red Belt (2nd Gup), Ethan showed amazing focus, resilience, and discipline in the 'dojang' and at home, training 3 days a week in the 'dojang' and almost every night at home to prepare for the world stage, none of which would have been possible without the dedication of his Master instructors at Swavesey Tang Soo Do.

His next big milestone is to continue his hard training with the goal of becoming a Black Belt by the time he is 10 years old and to defend his World titles in 2028.

​We are so proud of his achievement and wanted to share this with the school community. A big thank you to everyone in the school community who cheered him on during his journey to Chicago.
