Spirit of the Games Award for our Yr5/6 Tag Rugby Players

Last Thursday (21st March) 24 pupils from year 5/6 descended on Great Shelford to take part in their annual schools tag rugby tournament.

We took two sides and each team played five games,

Our A team won two, drew one and lost two of their games and finished in a respectable fifth place.  They also won the 'spirit of the games' award for their sportsmanship (an award where all participating schools have a vote).

Our B team won three and drew one of their four group games, which meant they reached the grand final.

Even though they played brilliantly, they sadly lost 3-2 in an enthralling, end-to-end game - meaning they had to settle for a second place finish.

A big thank you to everyone who took part - you all represented the school brilliantly.
